How Do I Get Published?

This is a question my clients who are new and aspiring writers always ask me.

We write for different reasons: Enjoyment, challenge, and to share information or our creative effort. If you’re going to share what you’ve written, you’ll need a means or venue to get published. But you knew that, of course.

Beginnings - How To Start Your Story Effectively

What you should know about Electronic Resumes

Format Your resume into an ASCII format, it’s rather simple.

For starters, an electronic resume is a resume that is sent
to an employer by electronic means ? usually through email or internet. That’s
simple enough, these resumes are posted in internet resume banks where they can
be searched, downloaded or viewed by Employer. A name that comes to mind is
Monster.com, they handle thousands of resumes that employers can easily search
and find candidates for their job openings. Not to mention, if you have a
website you can post your resume and let anyone you want to see it.

What does show don\\\’t tell mean?

For
instance, Sam walked along the street toward his job interview. That’s
telling and pretty dull telling I’m sure you will agree. All the reader
has learned here is that Sam is walking along the street. There is no
scene? Is Sam angry, nervous, sad, upset, confused, happy, or
thoughtful? Some form of action need to be shown by using each or some
of the senses. Further, the reader neither knows whether Sam is male or
female since Sam could be short for Samantha. Let’s expand on this.
